Belmond Splendido, Portofino, Italy
A unique getaway on the Ligurian Coast, the Splendido is linked to sister property Splendido Mare via a lovely walking route and a shuttle service. The majority of the nicely decorated rooms and suites provide spectacular views of Portofino Bay. Guests may unwind by the heated saltwater swimming pool. Alternatively, they can have an open-air massage in a quiet nook of the hotel’s tropical garden. Or, perhaps enjoy the iconic Bagni Fiore beach at nearby Paraggi. This year, the Belmond has strengthened its connection with Dior. Two Dior spa gazebos will be placed in calm tiered gardens overlooking the glittering Portofino Bay. Here, they provide skincare treatments and specifically created procedures.
Belmond Reid’s Palace, Madiera, Portugal
Belmond Reid’s Palace is a Madeira institution since 1891. A Scotsman named William Reid had founded the hotel. Sir Winston Churchill painted and penned his war memoirs here, while George Bernard Shaw perfected the tango there. Today, this one-of-a-kind hotel continues to welcome and treat the most discerning tourists. This living piece of history spans 10 acres of subtropical gardens, with over 500 different varieties of rare plants and flowers. All rooms and suites have balconies overlooking the sea and gardens, providing stunning and distinctive views.
Belmond Hotel Caruso, Ravello, Italy
Belmond Hotel Caruso is an eleventh-century Moorish-influenced palace. In 2005 following a comprehensive renovation it reopened. It provides a historic location to stay in Ravello with a sumptuous modern appearance in the old world. Over the years, it has drawn luminaries such as Jackie Kennedy, Virginia Wolf, and a host of other celebrities.
