What’s a new hotel or accommodation that you cannot wait to check out?
The list is LONG! First, Mallorca’s latest Can Ferrereta, as a member of the Small Luxury Hotels, it already has a great stamp of approval. It is a 17th-century farmhouse converted into a stylish low-key getaway resort. I am a big fan of Mallorca and it is near some of the most spectacular calas (secluded coves) I have ever seen.

Second, Kalesma Mykonos. It is a collection of whitewashed houses making up a charming, exclusive Mykonian village on the hill above Ornos Bay. There are 360-degree views where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset, and lots of space for feeling as if you are one of just a few guests.

I always love returning to La Genzianella in Bormio. It is literally like a home away from home for us. This is a 3-star, family-run hotel that has 5-star service. Also, gorgeous rooms, Michelin-star level food, panoramic views in the best possible location in town. Finally, it is so reasonably priced! We go every year, sometimes twice to ski and then in the summer to enjoy the fresh mountain air. I am really hoping we can make it back there this summer.

I would love to return to the Relais Christine in Paris. It’s a boutique 5 star hotel ideally located on a charming side street of the 6° arrondissement. The staff is welcoming, the rooms are gorgeous and the breakfasts are fantastic. It has a spa and even a little garden.  It’s homey and elegant, in the middle of busy Paris, yet relaxing- a little oasis to come home to at the end of a full day!

What’s a new hotel or accommodation that you cannot wait to check out?

Portugal has some new openings. One that I’m really interested in visiting is Immerso. It is located on the coast, just north of Lisbon in the fishing village of Ericeira. The five-star, gorgeous sea view hotel rooms look perfect for relaxing and catching up on my reading, while the local fishing and surfing would keep my husband and son busy. The hotel is strategically located near Lisbon, Cascais, Evora, Sintra, and the Alentejo wine regions so we’d have plenty of day trips to choose from. Even though the hotel opens in June, my mind is already wandering there!

Is there an old hotel, a special place you love to stay personally, that you are dying to return to?

The historic, luxurious feel of Château de la Chèvre d’or in Eze is so special. I visited Eze when I was younger with my grandparents. It always remained stamped in my mind as one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen. I’ve stayed in la Chèvre d’or and also eaten in their 2 Michelin star restaurant a few times. It is always an incredible experience. The hotel itself has sweeping views over the sea and French riviera, like staying in an open park full of nature and gorgeous local plants and flowers. The rooms are impeccable, and service is warm and friendly. I cannot wait to go back!

The experience of staying in the Château de Versailles at the new Airelles hotel seems incredible. I’m a history buff and actually being able to “trace” the footsteps of history, of Marie Antoinette through the Orangerie garden will be a truly once in a lifetime experience.

Also, I’m a huge fan of the One&Only hotel group. They opened their first property in Europe in Montenegro this year. The location is the Adriatic riviera, a spectacular setting, and One&Only always manages to do chic relaxation and modern comfort perfectly. I cannot wait to explore Montenegro and see this beautiful property!

What’s a new hotel or accommodation that you cannot wait to check out?

A new hotel I can’t wait to stay is the De La Ville in Rome. I really like its position dominating Rome from the top of the Spanish Steps. The hotel changed ownership, now it is owned by the Rocco Forte family and when they restore something they do a really good job. The De La Ville is not an exception. Their furniture style and colors for the interior are elegant and warm. The service is impeccable and I can’t wait to experience enjoying an aperitivo on the rooftop terrace overlooking Rome during sunset.

The hotel I am hoping to return to soon is the Belsoggiorno in Taormina.

Nothing too fancy, in fact it’s a very characteristic three star hotel. I think the position is one of the best in Taormina because not too far from the center but far enough to enjoy the tranquility. It has an amazing sea and mount Etna vew and if you are fortunate in the evening you can see the Etna erupting which is an amazing show. I will never forget the bathroom with a special round window without glass, you don’t really need it in Sicily, the only protection was a beautiful art decoration made of wrought iron. The breakfast room is very big with a spectacular sea view that you can fully enjoy thanks to a stained glass window made of wrought iron.
