Welcome to Greece’s most famous cosmopolitan island. This paradise lies in the center of the Cyclades islands. According to mythology, Mykonos was originally made from the petrified bodies of giants killed by Hercules. It is in the southern Aegean Sea, located between Tinos, Syros, Naxos and Paros. Its landscape is slightly different from the rest of the Cyclades. It is a bit drier and also windier – great for wind surfing!
It’s famous for its nightlife and evening entertainment. Many of its beautiful bays host music events, and even beach golf.
In the evening, Mykonos Town (or Chora) has the most life. There are charming bars in the area of Little Venice. Or, for those looking for more, there is a variety of clubs and places to dance til dawn. You also cannot miss the romantic sunset from the windmills on the hilltop above Mykonos Town. It’s an unforgettable place!
