These countries are rife with UNESCO world heritage sites.
In Norway, perhaps explore the charming village of Bryggen. It is a historic harbor district in Bergen, one of North Europe’s oldest port cities on the west coast of Norway. It was established as a center for trade by the 12th century. Or, maybe your trip takes you to Finland. Here, you can see the fortress oof Suomenlinna. It was built in the second half of the 18th century by Sweden on a group of islands located at the entrance of Helsinki’s harbour. This fortress is an especially interesting example of European military architecture of the time.
Exploring a new culture through its food
Or, perhaps explore the gastronomy of these countries. Our culinary tour of Oslo, Norway, is the perfect way to taste your way through the region. Your guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel. From here, you will visit some of Oslo’s hot spots to indulge in a foodie experience. While stopping at tasting locations along the way, we wend our way to the city through some of the most interesting areas of Oslo. The new artist colony, along the river, the old city center and finally the docks. We finish the tour at our final stop. It is a centrally located microbrewery, where we taste the new Norwegian source of pride, the delicious handcrafted, local beer.
Hence, no matter which country you decide to visit -or if you take a multi-country trip – you are guaranteed to see some unforgettable sites.
Outdoor Adventures
Scandinavia offers a plethora of outdoor activities for adventure enthusiasts. Try your hand at hiking in the Norwegian mountains or dog sledding in Lapland. Or perhaps try kayaking in the Swedish archipelago, there are endless opportunities to embrace the thrill of the great outdoors.

An idea of a day in Iceland
For example, a day in Iceland could include a trip of buggies, black beaches and ice caves. First, your private driver and guide picks you up to bring you to the unforgettable Skogafoss waterfall. From here, embark on a beautiful and exciting jeep ride to the secret area of one of Iceland’s 13 glaciers. Once at the glacier area, you will gear-up and your local guide will do an educational brief on safety, what to expect, etc.
After, you’ll take a super fun walk to the glacier ice cave (5-10 minutes). To follow, you will go inside to explore it where you will have a total of 45-60 minutes in the glacier area for photos and exploration. Then your local Vik guide will give you a little more insight into how the ice cave was formed and answer any questions you may have. Finally, after ample time for your photos and selfies, you hike back out and take the gear off.
Your driver will then bring you to a black beach buggy safari. Experience the black sand beach of the world-famous South Coast of Iceland on our Polaris 1000 buggies. This private 2-hour adventure starts in Hella and takes you to the black sand beach, Þykkvabæjarfjara.
