A BVT Client Perspective: Spain

We chose Spain because we were looking for a European country that was relatively safe, nice weather, friendly people, more economical, and we had heard many nice things about the country. What we found was so much more.  This country is a hidden gem. It is beautiful and the history is amazing.  Never knew it was such a powerhouse that ruled the world in its time. The natural beauty and the man made structures/museums were breathtaking. People were friendly and basic words were easy to use. We would recommend Spain to anyone.

We had few expectations about Spain because we knew so little about the country.  Therefore, everything exceeded our expectations.

We have to say, if we had to choose a favorite spot (which is too difficult because they were all great), we really liked Marbella simply because we loved the tennis center, the promenade along the beach, and the R&R in the sun.

The best accommodation was again Puente Romano in Marbella. The rooms were huge and comfortable and the grounds were lovely. All amenities were available.

For our favorite tour or excursion…. Again, very difficult to answer but we will say our time spent with Jordi in Barcelona was exceptional. He was a wealth of information and went the extra mile to answer our questions and find us anything we were looking for. He made the city come alive.

OMG what’s wrong with me…MY favorite excursion was our trip to the market with Amelia and our PRIVATE cooking class in Seville. AMAZING!!! This class allowed me to bring Spain back to NH and was appreciated by all.  I used some of the recipes for a dinner I did at work. I’m sure I enjoyed it more than my husband but he really liked it too which is saying a lot.

And the food? The food was five star. We loved it all. We dined upscale and very casual and it was all divine. It was nice to have our guide join us at times so he could recommend specialties. We also appreciated recommendations from our guides for specific restaurants we could do on our own.

The only thing we would do differently is ALWAYS use  5 star accommodations when overseas. It makes a huge difference in the amenities. What we loved so much about this trip, it was totally stress free.  We never had to worry about language barrier because our guide was there. We never had to stress about public transportation because our guide took us every where. We were always taken care of and this way we got to see so much more, learn so much more, and totally relax. At the same time we had free time to explore. At our age we don’t need the stress of doing it ourselves. We loved being pampered and it was worth every penny.

Finally, Bella Vita Travels is awesome. Megan was able to screen our needs and then connect us with Kate, who was nothing but amazing. She had an intuitive sense to listen to me babble, interpret that information, and then package it into a perfect trip. Everything we asked for was done. Every detail was taken care of. There were absolutely no glitches in 12 days.  That was beyond amazing.

Only comment: I wish we found Bella Vita Travels when we were younger. Can’t wait for our next trip to Europe.
